The Mechanical Construction Supervisor will be responsible for the construction of new pre-engineered metal building the foundations for it in the installation and commissioning of 3 Wartsila generating units and the BOP mechanical systems.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card.
The candidate should have 8 to 10 years' experience with construction that pertains to power generation by combustion turbines, generators/Wasilla in addition to the BOP systems that support them.
Mechanical Construction Supervisor
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the footings, foundations, and erection of the pre-engineered metal building; clad and pre-cast, installation of the pre-packed Wartsila generating units and the installation and commissioning of the mechanical BOP systems to support the operations of those units and the facility itself.
Daily tasks include preplanning, communicating with teammates, monitoring job site safety, and working with contractors on daily task planning/work execution.
Will be working with engineering and quality control to ensure that we're meeting expectations regarding what we're witnessing, watching, etc.
to ensure that the work is completed in an appropriate manner.
Responsible for planning, execution and oversight of the work being done and documenting milestones.
Manages the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation.
Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality measures.
Develops project plan and drives project milestones.
Establishes effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders.
Provides day-to-day direction to project resources and ensures the project teams are provided the resources and support that enable the teams to reach their defined objectives.
Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project.
Responsible for preparation of documentation and status reports.
Work under the direction of the onsite construction manager.
Requirements of the Mechanical Construction Supervisor:
8 to 10 years' experience with construction that pertains to power generation by combustion turbines, generators/Wasilla in addition to the BOP systems that support them.
Must have a strong mechanical background with power generation experience on plant mechanical systems, water processing, air compressors, HVAC, fire protection, etc.
Experience laying foundations for structural steel.
Should have familiarity with drawings/blueprints (typically reviewed via Adobe/PDF).
Must be safety-minded.
CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) Certification is preferred.
OSHA 30 and OSHA 10, and ISTC Basic Plus is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications SAP experience would be helpful.
Excellent oral and written communication.
